About This Program

The California Education Program, which is no longer active at New America, provided high-quality analysis and commentary for the general public on K-14 education issues, as well as research and technical assistance to inform policymakers, advocates, and other stakeholders. It was headed by Camille Esch, who in early 2011 was appointed by Governor Brown to serve on the executive staff of the State Board of Education.
